EasyJet announces new winter routes from Belfast International

EasyJet has launched new routes and package holidays from Belfast International to Sharm El Sheikh and Rome. Flights to Sharm El Sheikh have begun on 25 October operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. 

The airline has provided the only direct connection between Northern Ireland and the Egyptian resort.

Services to Rome Fiumicino have started on 26 October with flights twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The additions have expanded easyJet’s network from Belfast International which has served over 55 routes to 45 destinations. The airline has flown nearly 82m customers since it began operations in Ireland.

Sharm El Sheikh has attracted visitors with its beaches and marine life while Rome has drawn travellers with historic sites including the Colosseum and Vatican Museums. The new routes have offered options for winter sun and city breaks.

Kevin Doyle shared “We launched these new routes to provide customers with more choice at affordable prices.” Kate Sherry shared “The addition of Rome and Sharm El Sheikh has fulfilled demand and enhanced the destinations portfolio at Belfast International.”
