EirTrade Aviation Maintenance has secured three new global authorisations for its facility at Ireland West Airport Knock, expanding its maintenance, transition, parking and storage capabilities . The company has been authorised by the Bailiwick of Guernsey (2-REG), the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) and the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) . The approvals allow EirTrade to provide services for aircraft registered with the three authorities, broadening the facility’s offering to airline and aircraft lessor customers .
Having added A320 NEO (PW1100) and A330 aircraft to its EASA Part-145 capabilities in 2025, the company identified an opportunity to extend its line maintenance services . The compliance monitoring and safety management team prepared MOE supplements, associated documents and forms, provided training for staff and authorised certifying personnel . Following desktop and on-site audits, EirTrade Aviation Maintenance secured all three approvals .
The expanded capabilities have already generated new business for the company, with two aircraft welcomed into parking and storage programmes . EirTrade’s chief investment officer, Lee Carey, stated that the company’s ambitions for Knock are to create a centre of excellence to cater for mature aircraft on the island of Ireland . The business is committed to further investment in capabilities to meet the needs of customers, increasing the scope of services offered and capacity at the facility .
