The move adds three new routes to Brussels Charleroi, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Basel-Mulhouse, plus increased frequency to Dortmund. It will add 500,000 seats and create 40 direct jobs, supporting around 350 indirect roles. Wizz Air becomes the largest scheduled airline at the airport.
The airline and Limak Kosovo International Airport J.S.C. have officially announced the opening of a new operational base at Pristina International Airport starting in November 2026. The expansion marks a major milestone since the airline first entered the Kosovan market in 2017. Wizz Air will permanently station one state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft at the airport, adding 500,000 seats to its local operations and creating 40 new direct employment opportunities for local pilots and cabin crew.
The new base represents a significant boost to connectivity for Kosovo. The addition of three new routes and increased frequency to Dortmund will provide more travel options for passengers. Wizz Air has not confirmed whether further expansion at the airport is planned beyond these initial routes.
