The Irish Aviation Authority has launched Waypoint: Safety as a new publication for the aviation community. The IAA developed the publication as part of the State Safety Programme and the State Plan for Aviation Safety. Waypoint: Safety brings together insights from regulatory developments, human factors and emerging risk areas.
Stakeholders across commercial air transport, general aviation, ground operations, drones and supporting organisations contributed to the content. Barry Waldron serves as Manager Safety Intelligence and Safety Promotion at the IAA. The first edition became available via the IAA website at www.iaa.ie/waypointsafety.
The publication supports safety awareness and encourages feedback for future editions. It reflects collaboration across the industry in Ireland. The IAA promotes engagement among aviation professionals.
Barry Waldron shared “Aviation is built on collaboration, shared responsibility and continuous learning. Waypoint: Safety reflects that reality by bringing together operational insights – from regulatory developments and human factors to emerging risks – in an accessible way.”
