Dublin-based aircraft lessor Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has delivered the first two Airbus A321neo aircraft to Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air, marking the beginning of a five-aircraft sale and leaseback agreement. The transaction highlights Ireland’s continued importance as a global centre for aircraft leasing, with Dublin headquartered JSA playing a key role in supporting airline fleet growth and modernisation around the world. The remaining three aircraft are scheduled to enter service later this year.
David Jones, Chief Marketing Officer of Jackson Square Aviation, stated the company remains committed to supporting VietJet’s ambitious expansion plans and providing fleet solutions that align with the carrier’s sustainable expansion plans. He noted that the A321neo’s advanced fuel-efficient technology would cut fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. For VietJet, the aircraft will provide additional capacity as the airline continues its rapid international expansion, with one of the largest order books in the aviation industry at 576 aircraft currently on order.
