ECTAA Travel Distribution Summit 2026 took place on 10 and 11 February in Brussels, gathering over 150 leaders from travel intermediaries, tour operators, suppliers, technology, payment, and insurance providers.

The event, the third in the series after Payment in 2024 and Protection in 2025, examined the current state and future of travel distribution amid technological and regulatory shifts. Discussions covered air distribution with NDC, leisure and business travel trends, AI impact, the Package Travel Directive, and short-term rentals.

Participants stressed collaboration across the travel ecosystem to deliver value to travellers despite changing roles and models. Adaptation to innovation remains essential alongside opportunities for intermediaries and suppliers in a competitive European market. The summit featured keynotes, panels, and fireside chats with diverse speakers.

Eric Drésin, Secretary General of ECTAA shared “Over these two days, we see how powerful it is when the entire travel ecosystem engages in open discussions. Technology will accelerate change and everyone will have to adapt, but it will also create new opportunities for all stakeholders – including travel intermediaries. If we continue to collaborate and focus on delivering real value to travellers, the future of indirect distribution in Europe looks very bright.”
