Ireland has launched its first floating sauna at Dún Laoghaire Harbour on 29 May 2026. Leas-Cathaoirleach Pierce Dargan performed the official opening ceremony that introduced the new wellness facility. The structure combines sauna heat with a cold plunge pool option.
Officials welcomed the addition to the harbour area. Staff from Helios Sauna and the harbour collaborated on the project from initial planning through to completion. The facility opened to users on 30 May 2026.
Visitors accessed the sauna for coastal heat therapy sessions. The location provided direct access to Dublin Bay waters. Local operators prepared the site for daily operations.
