Tourism Ireland has co-produced two special Ireland episodes of a popular culinary travel show called L’ingrediente perfetto – A tu per tu which begin airing this weekend on the TV station La7. Images of Cork city and county will be beamed into the homes of around 2.7 million Italians. Fronted by Italian actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta the show typically explores local stories, traditions and cuisines through interviews with featured guests.
The two Ireland episodes will showcase the food scene in Cork city and county set against the backdrop of the area’s scenery. Locations set to feature in Cork city include the English Market, Ballycotton and Coolea Farmhouse Cheese. The crew also filmed in Midleton and Cobh visiting the Midleton Distillery Experience, Belvelly Smoke House, the Port of Cobh and the Cobh Titanic Memorial Garden.
With over 70 pc of potential visitors considering food when choosing a holiday destination Tourism Ireland is highlighting the food and drink available right across Ireland. Publicity and broadcasts like this are a key element of Tourism Ireland’s programme of promotional activity to inspire travellers in Italy and elsewhere around the world to put Ireland on their holiday wish-list.
