LOT Polish Airlines has opened ticket sales for a new nonstop route between Warsaw and Hanoi, giving Central and Eastern European travellers a rare direct link to northern Vietnam. The Star Alliance carrier’s Warsaw-Hanoi service takes off on 31 March 2027, running year-round with three flights a week. The route becomes LOT’s fifth long-haul destination in Asia, joining Tokyo, Seoul and New Delhi, alongside a Bangkok route the airline has been building out.
Flights depart Warsaw Chopin Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15:15, arriving in Hanoi the following morning after a flight time of around 10 hours and 25 minutes. The return leg departs Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 08:35 local time, with a flight time of roughly 11 hours and 20 minutes. The route will be operated using LOT’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the aircraft type the carrier flies across its long-haul network.
The new service adds to LOT’s push to position Warsaw as a connecting point between Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, following recent additions to Seoul and its planned Bangkok launch. LOT stated the expansion was a response to strengthening business and tourism ties between Poland and Vietnam. At launch, the three-weekly frequency will require some planning around fixed itineraries, though it may broaden depending on demand once the route is established.
LOT Polish Airlines shared: “The expansion was a response to strengthening business and tourism ties between Poland and Vietnam.”
