Lufthansa Group has continued the rollout of its Allegris long-haul cabin product across its fleet for the 2026/27 winter schedule. The new cabin configuration features enhanced business class suites with direct aisle access, premium economy seating with additional legroom, and updated economy class seats with improved ergonomics. The Allegris product represents a major investment in passenger comfort and is being progressively introduced on long-haul routes from Lufthansa’s Frankfurt and Munich hubs.
The rollout programme has seen Allegris cabins installed on new Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft deliveries, with retrofits of existing Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A330-300 aircraft also underway. First class suites are also being reconfigured as part of the programme, with the new design featuring floor-to-ceiling doors and increased privacy. Lufthansa Group’s investment in the Allegris product is a direct response to growing competition from Middle Eastern and Asian carriers in the premium long-haul market.
The new cabins are available on selected routes to North America, Asia, and the Middle East, with additional destinations being added as more aircraft receive the new configuration. The Allegris rollout is expected to continue through 2027 and into 2028, with the majority of Lufthansa’s long-haul fleet scheduled to feature the new cabins by the end of 2028. The programme represents one of the largest cabin retrofit initiatives in European aviation history.
