Lufthansa Group has extended its Economy Basic fare to all European flights. The no-frills ticket removes baggage allowances and flexibility in return for a lower price. Bookings opened on 6 October 2026 for travel from 27 October 2026.

Passengers are restricted to one personal item measuring no more than 40 x 30 x 15 cm. A standard overhead cabin bag up to 8 kg is not included and must be purchased. Tickets are non-refundable and non-rebookable. Advance seat selection and checked luggage require separate fees. The fare applies to Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa City Airlines, and Air Dolomiti.

The fare is sold exclusively through direct distribution channels. It can be found on airline websites or via New Distribution Capability API channels and aggregators used by partner travel agencies. Lufthansa Group bypasses traditional Global Distribution Systems for this tier. The fare positions network carriers to compete against low-cost airlines.
