Three years after launching as an all-business-class leisure airline based in Malé, beOnd now operates scheduled services to London, Paris, Zurich, Munich, Milan, Riyadh, Dubai and the Saudi Red Sea. The airline has carried out charter flights for artists, TV and movie productions, global brands, sports teams and clients who value discretion above everything else. Those flights have taken the airline to 90 cities across 45 countries, from +50 degrees and sunshine to -40 degrees and indescribable quietness.

The airline has quietly stopped being a curiosity in the aviation industry. The model has proven viable with a 200+ strong team supporting operations. The airline’s CEO has emphasised the unglamorous version of the achievement, referencing the schedules rebuilt, routes tested and dropped, and nights in operations that nobody films.

The airline thanks all the clients who believed in them and helped make those bystander smiles more genuine.

Tero Taskila CEO of Beond shared: Anniversaries are easy to make sentimental. What I’d rather mark is the unglamorous version. The schedules rebuilt. The routes tested and dropped. The nights in ops that nobody films. All of it was built by people who chose to bet on something unproven, which is the part a highlight reel can’t quite capture.
