Mastercard’s Taste by Priceless Dining Club opens in Hong Kong

Mastercard has opened Taste by Priceless at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), the first outpost of its airport dining concept in Asia-Pacific. Located in Terminal 1 near Gate 40, the venue swaps the usual buffet trays of a credit card lounge for chef-led, à la carte dining. The Hong Kong opening follows Mastercard’s first Taste by Priceless venue at São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, with a third location planned for Mexico City later this year. Taste by Priceless Hong Kong is split into two spaces.

The Counter offers an intimate, chef-led tasting menu with dishes such as shiso and romaine salad and chicken soup, while The Cove serves a more relaxed tapas-style spread, including pil pil prawns and miso-glazed cauliflower. Both are rounded out by Mastercard’s own branded desserts and cocktails, served across the network’s dining clubs worldwide.

Taste by Priceless is open to eligible Mastercard holders worldwide, regardless of where their card was issued. World Legend cardholders notably get unlimited complimentary entry for themselves and up to three guests, with no reservation required, provided they arrive within three hours of departure. From 1 October 2026, access is available at the following rates: World Legend holders receive free unlimited access plus three guests; World Elite cardholders pay $85 / HK$700 per person plus one guest at the same preferred rate; World Mastercard holders pay $85 / HK$700 per person; all other Mastercard cardholders, World Guests, and additional guests of World Elite or World Legend cardholders pay $100 / HK$785 per person. Cardholders can present a physical card or a Priority Pass membership linked to an eligible Mastercard product. Given the venue sits airside and near other lounges in Terminal 1, it’s worth building in a buffer at security and immigration, particularly during peak departure banks.

Mastercard’s move puts it in more direct competition with the lounge networks built by American Express, whose Centurion Lounges operate on a similar members-only model, and with the pay-per-visit Plaza Premium network already well established across Asian airports, including at HKG itself. For travellers connecting through Hong Kong on a World Legend card in particular, it adds a genuine no-cost option to the pre-flight routine, one worth weighing against the airport’s existing lounge choices on any given trip.
