Mystic Cruises has signed a newbuild deal with China Merchants in Haimen, Jiangsu Province.
The signed deal is for one cruise ship with three options. The contract included tri-fuel vessels for Mystic Cruises. The agreement was finalised followed a ceremony in China last week. The deal supported Mystic’s fleet expansion strategy. The shipyard is shifting focus after completing construction of the Star Seeker.
Mario Ferreira, president of Mystic Cruises shared “It is always a moment of great satisfaction to see the completion of a project, but this one was particularly challenging due to its technological complexity and the originality of the requested changes.”
