Norwegian Group enters agreement to Acquire Nordic Leisure Travel Group

Norwegian Group has entered a preliminary agreement to acquire Nordic Leisure Travel Group Holding including Sunclass Airlines for SEK7.95 billion kronor equivalent to $845 million. The deal includes SEK3.5 billion in cash with the remainder in shares. 

The transaction is expected to increase operating revenues by around 50pc and improve operating margin by 2 points in 2027. NLTG owners Strawberry, Altor and TDR will hold stakes of 8.9pc, 8.9pc and 4.4pc respectively after the deal. The acquisition requires shareholder approval in early July and is set to close in the second half of 2026.

Norwegian plans to retain NLTG brands and integrate leisure offerings with its network. Sunclass Airlines operates Airbus aircraft while NLTG includes tour operators and 26 hotels.
