Malcolm and Susan McMullan are retiring and have put the Overdale Motel on Belsize Road, Lisburn, up for sale after over 40 years of operation.
The motel’s unique selling point is its classification, which does not require offering meals to guests. The property has hosted diverse guests, including the pop band The Corrs and one guest who stayed for 14 years.
The decision to sell was described as the right move as the couple steps back from the hospitality trade. The sale marks the end of an era for the McMullans, who have been key figures in Lisburn’s tourism sector.
