Qantas and Jetstar Airways have extended capacity reductions until 30 September 2026. The adjustments address elevated fuel costs linked to the Middle East conflict and strong European travel demand. Qantas Group reduces planned international capacity by 2pc.
The mainline suspends its Sydney Kingsford Smith to Bengaluru International route from August until late October. It extends additional Perth International to Rome Fiumicino flights until the end of October. Both carriers cut domestic capacity on major capital city routes by 5pc.
