Qatar Airways has sold and leased back three A350-1000s to BOC Aviation. All three units have already reached the airline. The carrier operates a fleet of twenty-eight A350-1000s with sixteen more on order.
Qatar Airways has owned eleven units out of its A350-1000 fleet. BOC Aviation has owned nine A350-900s and one B777-300ER leased to the Qatari carrier. The transaction has taken place with all aircraft delivered.
The sale and leaseback arrangement has formed part of Qatar Airways fleet management strategy.
