Royal Caribbean has introduced retired USAir Force Lori J Robinson as the godmother of Legend of the Seas, the newest Icon Class ship. The 37-year Air Force veteran has been recognised as a role model for women in service and an advocate for individuals and families balancing careers and homes.
Robinson has spent her career breaking barriers as the nation’s first female combatant commander and former leader of NORAD and NORTHCOM. She has joined a maritime tradition of bestowing safekeeping upon the ship, its crew and vacationers. The naming ceremony has been scheduled for Veterans Day, 11 November, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Legend of the Seas has delivered Western and Southern Caribbean vacations from Fort Lauderdale starting November 2026. The ship has featured 28 dining options, seven pools and entertainment including America’s Got Talent LIVE. Every vacation has visited Perfect Day CocoCay in The Bahamas.
