Ryanair has marked the fact that it has carried over 7m passengers through Belfast International Airport since it began operations a decade ago. This summer, Ryanair is operating 166 weekly flights across 15 routes to and from the airport, including Alicante, Lanzarote, Malta, Krakow, Milan and Porto. The airline has a 2-aircraft base representing a $200m investment and supporting over 1,000 local jobs.
To celebrate the milestone, Ryanair has launched a limited-time seat sale with fares from £29.99. Jade Kirwan, Ryanair Director of Communications, stated the milestone showcases Ryanair’s continued investment and growth in the region. Belfast International Airport CEO Dan Owens stated Ryanair is a hugely valued partner delivering over 1,000 jobs locally and $200m for the local economy.
