Full airspace avoidance hs been extended to 16 November 2026 for Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Jordan. Gulf waters avoidance extended to 16 November 2026 for the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman.
The extensions have caused disruptions across global aviation. Airlines have circumvented closed airspace and passengers have faced extended flight times, cascading delays on long-haul routes between Europe and Asia and unscheduled technical refuelling stops
Singapore Airlines and its low-cost subsidiary Scoot have extended cancellations of Middle East flights until December. Singapore Airlines has continued to cancel its Singapore Changi to Dubai International route until 1 December 2026. Scoot has cancelled its Singapore Changi to Jeddah International flights until 2 December.
