Tao Climate has launched Tao Carbon AI and introduced a carbon-aware platform for the aviation and travel sector. The tool allows airlines, airports and travel companies to measure journey emissions and offer verified CO2 removal. The platform covers the footprint of its own AI calculations through verified removal at no extra cost to customers who purchase flight offsets.
Users input routes via natural language or voice, such as Dublin to New York, and receive instant carbon assessments. The platform operates on Google Cloud Platform with Google’s Gemini AI technology. It supports both consumer use and enterprise API integration.
Tao Climate presented the launch at the FTE Digital event in NovaUCD, Dublin. The company develops additional tools including EarthOS and AirOS for the travel industry.
Gary J Byrnes shared “Aviation does not need another guilt button. It needs intelligent, trusted climate infrastructure that fits naturally into the travel experience. What makes Tao Carbon AI different is that it is carbon-aware by design.”
