TAP Air Portugal has won the Best Stopover Programme award for the eighth consecutive year at the Global Traveler Leisure Lifestyle Awards. The airline received the recognition at the 14th edition of the awards ceremony held in Miami on 20 April. Readers of Global Traveler magazine voted for the winner through open voting.
The Portugal Stopover programme allows passengers to stop in Lisbon or Porto for up to ten days at no additional airfare cost on long-haul journeys. Travellers receive a 25pc discount on domestic flights within Portugal and benefits with more than 150 partner companies. The programme covers hotels, restaurants, tours, museums and cultural venues.
TAP Air Portugal operates flights from Dublin, London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester to Lisbon and Porto with onward connections to destinations in Brazil, Africa, North America and Canada.
