TAP Air Portugal has expanded the benefits of its TAP Miles&Go loyalty programme through a new partnership with Airbnb. From now on, TAP Miles&Go customers can earn two miles for every euro spent on eligible stays and experiences booked on the platform. The partnership integrates Airbnb into the TAP Miles&Go ecosystem and creates an opportunity for programme members to earn more miles when planning their next trip. To start earning miles, guests must begin booking their stay via the dedicated website flytap.com/airbnb, log in to their TAP Miles&Go account, and will then be redirected to Airbnb to complete the booking of an eligible stay or experience.
The agreement comes at a time when the travel sector is booming. According to Airbnb data, international bookings made by Portuguese travellers rose by 28pc this summer, with Madrid, London, Seville and Paris among the most popular destinations. In Portugal, 87pc of guest arrivals at Airbnb accommodation in 2025 were foreign travellers. TAP Air Portugal currently flies from Dublin in Ireland to Lisbon and Porto with onward connections to Brazil, Africa, Madeira, Azores, the USA and Canada. TAP has a stop over programme allowing passengers to stop in either Lisbon or Porto on long haul journeys for up to 10 days for no additional air fare.
TAP enhances the appeal of TAP Miles&Go and adds a new dimension to the programme, allowing customers to earn miles on travel experiences that complement the airline’s flights, which connect more than 90 destinations across Europe, Africa, North America and South America. TAP Miles&Go customers can start earning miles by linking their account to the booking process and following the steps outlined in the programme. Sofia Lufinha, Chief Customer Officer at TAP Air Portugal, confirmed the airline’s constant search for creating more opportunities for TAP Miles&Go customers to earn and redeem their miles, adding that Airbnb offers a different way to experience a destination.
