Turkish Airlines has cancelled its planned return to Havana, Cuba, which was scheduled to resume on 25 October 2026. Flights to Havana from October onwards have been cancelled and are no longer available to book in the reservation system.

The cancellation relates to jet fuel shortages continuing to affect Havana’s airport, with severe problems with aviation fuel supply. US sanctions and ongoing restrictions and energy blockades by Washington have heavily impacted tourism and travel demand in Cuba. The planned direct connection linking Moscow and Havana through Istanbul has been scrapped.

Turkish Airlines flights from Istanbul to Moscow are operating normally. The airline only maintains indirect connections to Cuba through Panama using Copa Airlines.
