Turkish Airlines teams up with Samsung for smart luggage tracking

Turkish Airlines has become the first global carrier to adopt Samsung SmartThings Find for official baggage tracking. Passengers equipped luggage with Galaxy SmartTags and tracked items via the SmartThings app from 1 December.

Travellers shared tracking links and luggage photos with staff when lost items occurred. Turkish Airlines served 83.4 million passengers in 2024 with continued network expansion in 2025. The airline planned further uses of SmartThings technology for wheelchair and cargo tracking.
