Disney Cruise Line has floated out the first of three blocks for the new Disney Believe under construction at Meyer Werft and slated to enter service in late 2027. The Disney Believe will be the fourth Wish-class ship for the cruise line at approximately 144,000 tons and with a guest capacity of 2,500 joining the Disney Wish, Treasure and Destiny.
Each ship has a Grand Hall theme and onboard the Disney Believe it will be the optimistic exploration from Disney Animation Moana films. A bronze statue of Moana with her companions Pua and Heihei will be the focal point of the Grand Hall. As each Disney ship has different characters on the stern the Disney Believe will have larger-than-life sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story films.
The cruise line is building one more Wish-class ship for the Oriental Land Company in Japan set to enter service in 2029. Next comes a new class of slightly smaller ships at 105,000 tons also being built by Meyer Werft. Two newbuilds are slated to enter service in 2029 followed so far by one more in 2030.
