VietJetAir is advancing its hybrid business model alongside further long-haul expansion, vice chairwoman and group chief financial officer Ho Ngoc Yen Phuong stated at an aviation summit on 2 October 2026. The low-cost carrier stated its hybrid strategy combines operational efficiency and cost discipline with a broader range of fares and services, supported by its growing A330 widebody fleet.
This fleet segment currently includes eight A330-300s and 40 A330-900Ns on order, with first deliveries expected before the end of 2026. VietJetAir is also introducing Starlink connectivity, initially across 120 aircraft, as part of the strategy.
