James Airey from Sunway Travel in Dublin won the men’s title in the fifth annual SunExpress Golf Cup for tourism professionals in Belek, Türkiye.
In all 64 selected travel agents attending, including participants from Ireland for the first time. Martin Dempsey from Dempsey Travel Ireland secured the Handicap Class A trophy with a net Stableford score of 39 off a handicap of 15.9.
The tournament provided travel agents with authentic experiences to enhance customer consulting through direct exposure to the Belek region near Antalya.
SunExpress aims to strengthen Antalya’s reputation as a premier golf destination and promote tools such as the SunExpress Golf Club programme.
The event forms part of SunExpress efforts as a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa to act as a tourism ambassador between Türkiye and Europe.
