Celebrity Reflection operated a cruise to nowhere over the weekend after adverse weather forced cancellation of all planned ports on its three-night itinerary from Fort Lauderdale. The ship, which departed on 30 January 2026 bound for Key West and Bimini, informed guests after boarding that an advancing weather front brought stronger winds earlier than forecast, making calls unsafe and leading to a Bahamas port closure. No alternative destinations were added, resulting in two full days at sea with enhanced onboard activities.
The vessel returned to Port Everglades on 2 February as scheduled, with the cruise line apologising for the disruption while assuring guests of a memorable experience through crew efforts. Celebrity Reflection sails winter series of short cruises to Florida and the Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale on its 3,030-passenger capacity. This week’s itinerary includes Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau on a four-night sailing.
