Alaskan Dream Cruises ceases operations with immediate effect

Alaskan Dream Cruises has ceased operations with immediate effect, ending seasonal sailings in Alaska after 14 years. The company, owned by Allen Marine, operated four small ships with a total of 223 berths, including the Chichagof Dream, Admiralty Dream, Alaskan Dream, and Baranof Dream, all now laid up in Sitka. The cruise line ran U.S.-flagged vessels focused on boutique itineraries in the region since 2011.

Allen Marine’s broader operations, including shore excursions, remain unaffected by the closure. Guests with bookings and travel agents have received direct communication regarding refunds and next steps. The company previously explored a potential sale of the cruise brand.
