The Coach Tourism Association hosted its 2026 annual conference and workshop in Derry for the first time attracting around 170 English coach tourism businesses with support from Tourism Ireland Tourism NI Visit Derry and Fáilte Ireland.
The event featured over 1200 one-to-one Meet the Buyer meetings familiarisation trips to sites including the Walled City Giant’s Causeway Ulster American Folk Park and Donegal attractions plus development of new itineraries and partnerships. Coach tourism remains valuable for year-round regional visitation to the island of Ireland.
Julie Wakley of Tourism Ireland’s London office shared “Tourism Ireland is delighted that the Coach Tourism Association has chosen Derry as the venue for its 2026 conference and we’re extending a very warm welcome to the 170 coach tourism buyers attending”.
