Air France has announced an expansion of its transatlantic services for the summer 2026 season, focusing on increased connectivity between Paris and New York. This enhancement aims to provide greater flexibility for both business and leisure travellers, building on the airline’s partnership with Delta Air Lines within their transatlantic joint venture. The move reflects growing demand for travel between Europe and the United States, with a particular emphasis on premium offerings.
The service to New York-JFK will feature up to six daily flights, including four operated by Air France using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with La Première cabins, supplemented by three Delta flights. For the Newark route, Air France will introduce a second daily frequency from 1 June 2026 through October, operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Shared in a written statement: “This second daily frequency will offer unprecedented flexibility for business travelers as well as leisure customers.” Flight schedules include departures from Paris at 12:30 and 19:45, with corresponding returns from Newark, ensuring convenient timings for international connections.
Aircraft on these routes are being progressively fitted with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, positioning Air France as the first major European carrier to provide this service fleet-wide by year’s end. The new Business class seats with sliding doors will be available on all New York flights, enhancing passenger comfort. This upgrade underscores Air France’s commitment to modernising its long-haul fleet and improving the onboard experience amid competitive pressures in the aviation sector.
In addition to the core New York enhancements, Air France will operate special nonstop flights between New York-JFK and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in June 2026 to coincide with the Cannes Lions Festival. Shared in a written statement: “Flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.”
Dates include departures from New York on 20 and 21 June, with returns from Nice on 25 and 26 June. This seasonal service, also codeshared with Delta, complements Air France’s longstanding partnership with the Cannes Festival and includes similar special flights from Los Angeles.
The airline shared in a written statement: “This summer, Air France will offer up to 11 daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York, split between New York-JFK and Newark Liberty International airports.”
