The inaugural board meeting of 2026 for Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism had discussed the work programme designed to elevate adventure tourism standards.

The work programme encompasses various critical areas such as insurance, marketing strategies for the sector, sustainable practices, inclusivity and accessibility measures, technical standards, educational efforts, governance structures, conferences and events, staffing solutions, and additional elements. These components are intended to ensure that all aspects of adventure tourism are delivered to world-class levels. This approach supports the ambition of achieving international prominence for Irish adventure tourism.

The association aims to position Ireland as a recognised global leader in this field through targeted initiatives.
