Disney Wonder completes farewell cruise from Australia

Disney Wonder has completed its departure from Sydney on 2 February 2026 for a farewell repositioning cruise from Australia marking the end of Disney Cruise Line’s operations in the region after three winter seasons. The 15-night voyage to Hawaii includes calls at Noumea Suva and Pago Pago with nine days at sea and a stop in Nawiliwili before concluding in Honolulu. The ship will undertake a second repositioning cruise ahead of spring deployment on the West Coast.

Disney Cruise Line announced in August 2025 that its 2026-27 schedule excludes Australia and New Zealand though future itineraries remain under consideration. The farewell season followed a repositioning from North America with the Disney Wonder offering three- to five-night cruises from Sydney Melbourne and Auckland visiting Eden Hobart Wellington and Christchurch. The vessel arrived in late October 2025 for the final series.

Disney Wonder will operate three- to seven-night itineraries from San Diego to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera between October 2026 and May 2027. The company prepares for the debut of Disney Adventure in Singapore from mid-March 2026 for year-round regional cruises.

With the company not scheduled to return to the region, the vessel embarked on a repositioning voyage on Feb. 2, 2026. Sailing from Australia to Hawaii, the 15-night cruise features visits to destinations in New Caledonia, Fiji and American Samoa, such as Noumea, Suva and Pago Pago. The 1998-built ship will then embark on a second repositioning voyage ahead of a spring deployment on the West Coast. Disney Cruise Line is saying farewell to Australia and New Zealand after three winter seasons.
