AirBaltic has welcomed its latest Airbus A220-300 aircraft to its fleet in Riga, continuing its expansion programme.
Registered as YL-BTD, this jet is the second delivery of its kind in 2026. The event underscores the airline’s dedication to fleet uniformity and efficiency. This addition brings the total number of A220-300s in operation to 54.
The A220-300 is renowned for its fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and passenger-friendly design. AirBaltic has chosen this model as the backbone of its operations across the Baltic region and beyond. The new aircraft will support increased flight frequencies and new routes. It aligns with the carrier’s sustainability goals and cost management strategies.
