The Shannon Airport Group welcomed Shannon Airport’s inclusion in the Regional Airports Programme 2026-2030.
The programme broadened to include airports with up to threem passengers annually. The Sectoral Investment Plan for Transport allocated almost €45m in capital investment from 2026 to 2030 for qualifying airports. Inclusion supported essential upgrades to maintain resilient and future-ready infrastructure.
The group expressed thanks to Minister O’Brien and the Department of Transport for the decision.
