Florida’s Space Coast is preparingd for the next phase of space exploration through NASA’s Artemis Programme with ongoing activity at launch sites.
The region served as the launchpad for historic missions from Mercury and Apollo to the Space Shuttle and International Space Station.
Artemis II is scheduled to launch no earlier than April 2026 on a 10-day mission to orbit the Moon with four astronauts. Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center are maintaining weekly rocket launches. Visitors can accesss viewing opportunities from beaches, parks, piers, boat tours, and hotel balconies. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offered exhibits on past programmes and future Artemis developments.
