Eindhoven airport to close for six months in 2027

Eindhoven will be closed to all air traffic between 1 February and 19 July 2027 because of extensive runway resurfacing works.

The airport is to construct a new parallel taxiway installed Category 3 ILS and expanded the terminal during the closure. The southern Dutch airport saw 329 weekly scheduled departures with Ryanair Transavia Airlines and Wizz Air operating the most flights.

Eindhoven served as an important airbase for the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The closure affected air traffic in the first half of 2027.
