Hilton launches AI-powered digital concierge to enhance global hotel planning

Hilton has introduced the Hilton AI Planner, a generative artificial intelligence tool now in beta on its website. The digital concierge assists travellers in exploring the group’s worldwide portfolio, recommending hotels and crafting personalised stay plans through conversational prompts.

Initially released on March 10, 2026, the tool is currently in a beta-testing phase for a limited number of users on Hilton.com, with full access for all visitors expected by March 17, 2026.

The Hilton AI Planner uses conversational intelligence to guide travelers through various stages of their journey, by replacing traditional search filters with a chat-style interface, allowing users to describe preferences (e.g., “beach holiday” or “family-friendly stay”) in natural language, privding real-time responses to help users compare different Hilton properties and their specific amenities, delivering tailored destination and hotel suggestions based on user input and allowing for follow-up questions to further narrow down choices, such as finding locations for “peak cherry blossom season”.

As the tool is still in its beta phase, some functionalities are currently restricted, initially available to only a small subset of site traffic before the broader rollout. It currently cannot display the lowest award rates or identify the cheapest dates for points-based bookings. Certain curated experiences, such as Explora Journeys voyages, are not yet integrated into the planner’s recommendations.

Hilton is employing a “test-and-learn” model, using direct guest feedback to refine the system’s ability to anticipate needs and personalize the booking process over time. This launch follows other digital innovations from the company, including Digital Key and Confirmed Connecting Rooms, as part of a broader roadmap to modernize the guest experience.
