The newly opened cruise terminal at Las Palmas in Gran Canaria is largest cruise terminal in Europe according to operator Global Ports Holding.
The 14,000 square metre building features three boarding bridges and can handle up to four ships at once as part of a 40 million euro investment to modernise facilities across Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The terminal strengthens the Canary Islands position as an Atlantic cruise hub and will host the Seatrade Cruise Med event in September.
