Ryanair has opened its largest in-house maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Madrid Barajas Airport in Spain.

The new centre, which represents an investment of €25m was inaugurated on 18 March 2026 and stands as the biggest maintenance hangar within the airline’s entire network.

Spanning 22,000 square metres, the state-of-the-art installation features capacity for seven aircraft simultaneously and is situated in the airport’s industrial zone. This development complements Ryanair’s existing maintenance operations at the same location, increasing the total maintenance lines available to eight.

The facility will handle routine A-checks as well as more specialised engineering tasks, positioning Madrid as a key hub in Ryanair’s seven-location European maintenance engineering network.
