Celebrity Cruises has started its eight-ship summer season in Europe after repositioning six vessels. The Celebrity Infinity continues year-round operations in the region. The Celebrity Xcel has joined the fleet in the Mediterranean and Atlantic following its late May arrival.
The Xcel offers seven- to 11-night itineraries from Barcelona and Piraeus to ports in Spain, Malta, Greece, Turkey, France and Italy. Eleven-night cruises include Madeira Island with additional stops in Portugal and Morocco. Other ships such as the Celebrity Ascent, Equinox and Constellation operate in the Mediterranean while the Infinity sails Greece and Eastern Mediterranean routes from Piraeus.
The Celebrity Eclipse and Apex cover Northern Europe with visits to Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland and the Baltic. The Celebrity Silhouette repositions for Iceland cruises from Reykjavik between early July and late August on seven-night intensive itineraries.
