After 40 years, veteran travel agent John Galligan has handed his business John Galligan Travel over to Jennifer Byrne as he prepares for retirement from full time active service in September 2026.

The organisation built over the past 40 years has focused on top end ocean cruising, expedition cruising and high quality bespoke holidays.

Frosch took over administration and compliance after Galligan sold the business to them last year. Jennifer Byrne has positioned herself to take over the service side where she worked as his long time wing woman. Galligan remains available as a consultant after September.

John Galligan shared “I am very proud of the organisation that I have built over the past 40 years. We are the market leaders in top end ocean cruising expedition cruising and high quality bespoke holidays. But where we really score is the personal friendly and super efficient service we offer our clients. Since I sold the business to the good people at Frosch last year they have taken over all the administration and compliance stuff that ate up about a month of my time each year. On the service side my good friend and long time wing woman Jennifer Byrne is best positioned to take over from me when I leave.”
