Solmar Villas has appointed Lewis Cooper to the newly created role of head of distribution.
Cooper, who joined the company in 2024 as business development manager, will support wholesale, trade and online travel agency teams and partners.
The move includes creating an additional executive position in the sales and distribution team. James Howlett, sales and distribution director, highlighted growing demand for villa holidays as a flexible alternative to hotels ahead of 2027.
Solmar Villas is a tour operator based in England’s Burton upon Trent specialising in private villa holidays with swimming pools across Europe, the Mediterranean, and Florida. Originally founded as a family business in 1994, the company now operates as part of Dertour Limited (the second-largest travel group in Europe) and manages a portfolio of over 2,500 handpicked properties.
