The GreenWorking Awards 2026 have opened for entries, inviting tourism organisations, production companies, and creative agencies worldwide to submit sustainable tourism videos. Registration is free of charge, with entries open until 21 September 2026. The awards are organised by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals and the Spanish creative agency Normmal.

The awards recognise excellence across three categories: the GreenWorking Production Award, the GreenWorking Message Award, and the GreenWorking Global Award. The jury includes representatives from UN Tourism, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the European Travel Commission, the European Climate Pact, and Biosphere. Alexander V. Kammel, CIFFT Director, stated the awards reflect a growing shift toward more responsible tourism communication.

The GreenWorking Awards are a global initiative recognizing excellence in sustainable tourism communication and advertising. [1]

Launched in 2025, the program was created through a partnership between the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and the Spanish creative agency Normmal, with the active participation of UN Tourism. The awards target tourism organizations, creative agencies, and production companies to ensure that promotional campaigns align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The initiative breaks down sustainability into both the message being told and the physical practice of creating the media, featuring three distinct categories: [

  • GreenWorking Production Award: Rewards environmentally respectful audiovisual production, focusing on eco-friendly logistics, waste reduction, and renewable energy use on set. 
  • GreenWorking Message Award: Recognizes campaigns that deliver impactful, clear, and effective sustainability storytelling. 
  • GreenWorking Global Award: Honors the best overall project that seamlessly combines a sustainable production process with an inspiring eco-focused message

The Awards are a global initiative recognizing excellence in sustainable tourism communication. They were created by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and the Spanish agency normmal, with the participation of UN Tourism (UNWTO).
