Numa Group has announced its entry into the Basel market with the signing of its first asset in the city, marking a further strategic expansion in Switzerland after Zurich. The new development, owned by Ecoreal Schweizerische Immobilien Anlagestiftung, will deliver 60 keys in a purpose-built property scheduled to open in the second half of 2027. The property has been designed by Monoplan and will bring Numa’s fully digital hospitality model to one of Switzerland’s most dynamic urban and economic centres.

Dimitri Chandogin, Co-Founder and Member of the Management Board at Numa Group, stated Basel is a highly relevant next step for Numa in Switzerland. He stated the project expands the company’s Swiss footprint into another strong urban market with deep corporate and international demand. Philipp Rohweder, Senior Advisor Real Estate at Numa Group, stated entering Basel with the first asset is a significant milestone for the company.

The development represents the next chapter for a well-known Basel hospitality address, with Hotel Basilisk occupying the site for almost 50 years before the property was sold in 2021. The property will operate with Numa’s end-to-end digital guest journey, offering seamless experiences from booking to check-out. The development further strengthens Numa’s position as one of Europe’s fastest-growing digital hospitality platforms.
