Iberia has commenced direct flights between Madrid and Tivat in Montenegro on July 18, completing the country’s 23 new routes for the 2026 summer season.
The twice-weekly service (Tuesdays and Saturdays) on Airbus A320 aircraft runs until mid-September and offers around 6,300 seats.
The inaugural flight carried 180y passengers inbound with a near 95pc load factor. The three-hour route provides Montenegro’s first regular direct link to the Spanish capital, supporting cultural tourism, coastal holidays and premium hospitality while opening connections via Iberia’s network.
