Irish Rail has announced additional DART services for the August bank holiday weekend, including the Bray Air Display on 1 August and the Ladies All-Ireland Football Finals on 2 August.
Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) has added extra DART services and increased passenger capacity for the upcoming Bray Air Display taking place on Saturday, 1 August 2026. The supplementary trains will run alongside the regular timetable between Dublin Connolly Station and Bray Station to handle the large influx of visitors travelling to the seafront.
The air display begins at roughly 3:00 PM, but ground entertainment starts at 12:00 PM, meaning trains will reach full capacity early. Passengers are advised to buy return tickets in advance or use a TFI Leap Card to avoid long station queues. Alcohol is strictly banned on all DART and commuter rail services during the event. Bicycles are not permitted on board DART or commuter trains on the day of the event.
Vistors are reminded to bring plenty of water, as stations and trains will be exceptionally busy. Spectators who plan to avoid the trains, several other regional transport links are operating modified schedules. The Luas Green Line will run a high-frequency service to Brides Glen, which connects to a pre-booked return shuttle bus to the event.
Bus Éireann route 131 will run hourly between Bray Town and Wicklow Town.Dublin Bus: Local routes L12 and L14 will operate under specific diversions from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday to bypass road closures near the seafront.
Passengers are urged to travel early to avoid potential delays due to high passenger numbers.
