The venue forms part of the pool complex at the aft section of this deck, where a large plunge pool surrounds a submerged bar counter with built-in seating for guests in the water. In-pool tables hold drinks, while in-water loungers line the perimeter. A resident DJ operates from a position overlooking the pool, maintaining a steady beat throughout the day. The entire area operates as an adults-only space for guests aged 18 and above.
The bar specialises in gin and tonic variations alongside frozen and tropical cocktails. Floating waterproof menus drift near the bar for guests to browse while in the water. Service covers both the submerged counter and surrounding pool areas, with bartenders preparing drinks directly for those seated in the water. No full food menu operates here; the focus stays on drinks consumed in the pool environment.
Signature selections include the Limoncello & Tonic, built with limoncello, tonic water and citrus elements, and the Pirate in a Coconut Tree, a blended rum-based drink served in a coconut shell. Other options feature various gin and tonic combinations with different botanicals and garnishes, plus frozen daiquiris and tropical mixes calibrated for poolside consumption. Non-alcoholic versions and standard spirits with mixers appear alongside the specialty list.
A sample order in the pool might begin with a Limoncello & Tonic ordered from the submerged barstool, followed by a Pirate in a Coconut Tree while floating on an in-water lounger, with the DJ’s playlist shifting from midday grooves to higher-energy tracks in the afternoon. Drinks arrive promptly, allowing guests to remain in the water without interruption.
Swim & Tonic appears on all Icon-class ships. Legend of the Seas joins Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas with the same Deck 16 placement in their respective Chill Island neighbourhoods, matching submerged bar seating, pool dimensions and adults-only policy. The concept remains exclusive to these vessels as the largest swim-up bar at sea, with consistent drink programming and DJ-driven atmosphere across the class.
On Legend of the Seas, Swim & Tonic opens from morning until late evening with no reservations required. Guests enter the pool area directly and claim spots at the bar or loungers on a first-come basis, with the open design allowing easy movement between the water and adjacent Chill Island features
